Common questions

Does Doodle need an internet connection?
No. Lessons, voices, drawing and the gallery all work offline. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Where are my child's drawings?
In the gallery inside the app, stored on the device. They are not uploaded. To keep a copy outside the app, open a drawing, tap Share and choose Save to Photos.
Why does Doodle ask to use the camera or photos?
Only in draw on paper mode, to photograph a real drawing for the gallery. You can decline and the rest of the app works as normal.
Can I change the age band?
Yes. Open Settings and pick a different band. Little Artists, Explorers, Creators and Studio change the tools, the type size and how much is read aloud.
The steps are not being read aloud.
Check that Sound and Voice are on in Settings, then check the device is not muted with the side switch or in Control Centre.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app. Everything Doodle stored is on the device, so it goes with the app. There is no copy on our side.
Something else is not working.
Email us with the device model, the iOS version and what you tapped before it went wrong. We reply within one business day.

About the app

Doodle teaches drawing one stroke at a time. Each step animates onto the canvas, then waits for the child to trace it, with every step read aloud for children who cannot read yet. Four age bands, from 3 years up, change the tools and the tone. There are no accounts, no purchases and no ads.
