- Ideas from more than 100 non-fiction books
Distil is a micro-learning app for people who want the ideas from good books without the hours. Each card is one idea from a well-known non-fiction title, written plainly, with a prompt to act on it today. There are more than a thousand ideas from over a hundred books on money, habits, relationships, thinking and living well.
It learns from what you read. Skip what does not interest you, save what does, and the feed, the topics and a reading persona adjust to you. There is no questionnaire, no advertising and no tracking beyond your own reading.
Reading is free: ten ideas a day and the first three ideas of every book. Pro is an optional subscription that removes those limits. Distil is in closed beta on iPhone and Android now.
Features
One idea per card
A few paragraphs, a highlighted line, and an action prompt. Read it in the time it takes to make a coffee.
A feed that learns
Editor's picks to start, then a feed shaped by what you read, save and skip.
Your reading persona
A profile built from your reading: traits, topics and totals, worked out from what you open, skip and save rather than from a questionnaire.
Saved and stashed
Bookmark ideas into a grid you can come back to, grouped by book.
Yours to delete
No adverts, no third-party analytics and no selling of data. Delete your account and every trace of your reading from Settings, in one tap.
